Our trip to London was one of the best school excursions I’ve ever had. I really learned a lot of things, and I got to experience first-hand one of the biggest and most important cities in the world as it really is: Not in a hotel but really with a working-class family. Not just the typical tourist stuff but normal things that people that live there do, like taking the public transport in the morning and being stuck in traffic. (Barnabas)
One thing I’m really proud of is a conversation with two Americans on the Uber Boat. We talked to this couple for about twenty minutes and had lots of fun. We found out that they lived on Hawaii and had a beautiful home there. The only thing they knew about Austria is that Austrians like skiing. But we also talked about our education system which was very interesting. (Matthäus)
At the language school our teacher was called Thina. She was very sweet and nice to us. We did activities like debating against each other in groups, which was an amazing way to practice how to see the pros and cons of a topic. We also wrote funny poems about England. One time we had to go out to Greenwich Park to interview a few people about whether some British stereotypes about them were true or false. My personal favorite activity was trying to build the tallest noodle tower in smaller groups. My group almost won but in the last few seconds we had to remove a piece otherwise it would have fallen apart. (Zilia)
